It’s often that, at this time of year, there are many people on social media going on about their New Year’s Resolutions, and most of them are about how they’re going to change themselves, or their lifestyles, for the better. In a world where change is constant, it’s understandable why people strive for it, but I want people to see the world in a more positive light.
Whilst last year is construed by many as being the “worst year ever”, it’s time we put things into perspective, and look at our lives and our planet for what we love about it. It’s easy to get ground down with politics, or the economy, or the state the world is in, but for the goodness of our mental health and sanity, let’s focus on the good.
So I propose the “365 photo challenge” with a twist. Every day this year, I want you to take a picture of something you’re grateful for. It can be as big or small as you like, as silly or as serious as you want. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it’s something you’re grateful for.
I’ll be posting my photos on Instagram (@Mazifur) as often as I can, but you can keep it to yourself if you’d prefer. Just use the hashtag #Mazifur365PhotoChallenge, and hopefully we can get a small “community of gratefulness” going.
